World Master Kim Dae-cheul Hosts the 「2026 17th Gyeongsangbuk-do Ceramic Culture Festival」 (2026.09.04.)Kim Dae-cheul, World Master in the field of White Porcelain, hosted the 「2026 17th Gyeongsangbuk-do Ceramic Culture Festival」 on September 4 at the Ihwamanri Campground, where his Domunyo kiln is located. Organized by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Ceramic Artists Association, the festival was held under the theme “The Pear Blossoms Glow White in the Moonlight, as the Moon Ripens into the Night” and featured a variety of programs, including ceramic exhibitions and hands-on experiences, artist demonstrations, and workshops. At the Ihwamanri Campground in Gimcheon, where Domunyo is located, various events were held, including the opening ceremony, a gathering centered around the traditional wood-fired kiln, the awards ceremony for the festival’s outstanding artists, pottery wheel demonstrations and pottery-making experiences, wish-making firewood activities, and traditional performances. At Domunyo, a traditional wood-fired kiln firing event was also held. World Master Kim Dae-cheul personally lit the kiln and demonstrated the traditional ceramic firing process, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the traditional process of firing ceramics in a wood-fired kiln.
