World Master Lee Do-kyung to Present Traditional Korean Dance Performance "Drawing the Lineage of Dance" (2026.10.27.) World Master Lee Do-kyung, specializing in Taepyeongmu (Dance of Peace and Prosperity), will present the traditional Korean dance performance "Drawing the Lineage of Dance" (舞·脈 그리다) at Folk Theater Pungnyu in Seoul on October 27, 2026. The performance will showcase the tradition of Korean dance that World Master Lee Do-kyung has preserved and carried forward over the years. It is also dedicated to honoring the dance and teachings of her mentor, Kang Sun-young, a certified practitioner of Taepyeongmu, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Building upon the dance traditions she learned from Kang Sun-young, World Master Lee Do-kyung has continued to develop her own artistic expression. The program will feature a variety of traditional Korean performing arts, including Basic Dance, Ujo Sijo "Woljeongmyeong" (月正明), Gasa "Maehwaga," Sangongchum in the style of Lim Eung-soo, and Taepyeongmu. Special guest performers will include Korean Master Moon Hyun, a certified practitioner of Gasa and Jongmyo Jeryeak (Royal Ancestral Ritual Music), both designated as National Intangible Cultural Heritage, and Lim Eung-soo, President of the Lim Eung-soo Sangongchum Preservation Association. World Master Yoon Jong-gon to Present “The Master's Drumbeat Resounds Again” in Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of Master Kim Su-bae's Passing (October 24, 2026) World Master Yoon Jong-gon, recognized in the field of Nalmoe Bukchum (Traditional Drum Dance), will present a commemorative performance titled “The Master's Drumbeat Resounds Again” on October 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Grand Performance Hall of Daegu Seo-gu Culture Center. The performance honors the life and artistic legacy of the late Master Kim Su-bae (1927–2006), who carried on the tradition of Bisan-dong Nongak (Traditional Farmers' Music) in Daegu. It also reflects on the importance of preserving and transmitting traditional performing arts from masters to their disciples. As the second-generation holder of Nalmoe Bukchum, World Master Yoon Jong-gon has continued to preserve and pass down the rhythms and techniques inherited from his teacher. Through this commemorative performance, he hopes to share the spirit and cultural value of traditional Korean drum dance with future generations.
