The event was jointly organized by the Embassies of Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras in Korea to commemorate the 205th anniversary of the independence of the four countries. Diplomats and guests from various countries attended the reception to celebrate the occasion, and the Ambassador of Guatemala delivered congratulatory remarks on behalf of the co-hosting countries. Traditional foods from the four countries and coffee representing each country were introduced at the event, giving guests an opportunity to experience the food and coffee of Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras. The cultural event was held in conjunction with the state visit to Korea by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan. During his visit, various cultural events were organized to introduce the culture and traditions of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, members of the diplomatic community in Korea, and other guests. President Kim Eun-sil of the World Masters Association and Secretary General Kim Seong-hee of the Korea Masters Association also attended the event. The performance featured the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, the Navbahor Dance Ensemble, singers, and musicians, presenting a colorful program in which music, song, and dance came together. In particular, the Navbahor Dance Ensemble appeared in a variety of vibrant traditional costumes with colorful patterns, changing costumes for different performances while presenting dances accompanied by music. The traditional costumes of Uzbekistan, which vary from region to region, together with the music and dance, offered a vivid experience of the country’s rich cultural heritage. Uzbek artists also presented Korean music as part of the program. Carlos Peñafiel, Ambassador of Mexico to the Republic of Korea. President Kim Eun-sil attended the event on behalf of the Association. The reception brought together ambassadors and members of the diplomatic community from more than 50 countries to celebrate Mexico’s independence. The Mexican Ambassador and his wife attended in traditional attire, while commemorative performances featuring the Mexican national anthem and flag, along with traditional cultural performances, offered guests an opportunity to experience Mexico’s distinctive culture and traditions. In the outdoor garden of the Yeong Bin Gwan, known for its traditional Korean architectural beauty, a photo exhibition featuring the nature and ecology of the Galápagos was on display, introducing Ecuador's biodiversity and natural heritage. A beautiful violin performance by an Ecuadorian violinist further enriched the atmosphere of the evening.The reception brought together diplomats and figures from the cultural community, who celebrated Ecuador's National Day and once again reaffirmed the friendship and cultural ties between Korea and Ecuador.
