Bisan Nongak, Led by World Master Yoon Jong-gon, Hosts the 25th Dalgubeol Mokmingwan Chuwonje and Bisan Nongak Regular Performance Bisan Nongak, led by World Master Yoon Jong-gon, together with the Nalmoe Bukchum Preservation Association, will host the 25th Dalgubeol Mokmingwan Chuwonje and Bisan Nongak Regular Performance on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:30 PM, at Bukbisan Intersection (entrance to Wongogae Market) in Daegu. The Dalgubeol Mokmingwan Chuwonje originated from a memorial rite held in spring and autumn at Wongogae in Bisan-dong to honor a local magistrate who was revered by the people for his benevolent governance (seonjeong) and who died in the line of duty. The ritual commemorates his virtuous deeds and legacy. Carrying forward the spirit of these historical magistrates, the Chuwonje is held to pray for harmony and well-being among the community. Nalmoe Bukchum Performance Troupe Led by World Master Yoon Jong-gonParticipates in Spain International Folk Festival The Nalmoe Bukchum Performance Troupe, led by World Master Yoon Jong-gon, participated in the Spain International Folk Festival from September 4 to September 14. Beginning with a welcoming performance at the reception hosted by the Mayor and City Council of Lorca, a city in southeastern Spain, the troupe presented Nalmoe Bukchum across a wide range of venues and cities. Performances included the International Beach Volleyball Center, the Caser Residence (a senior living community), the Apandis Association (a facility for persons with disabilities), the Lorca Fair Festival, and a city performance in Albacete. The tour continued to northern Spain with a welcome reception at the City Hall of Urretxu, as well as participation in a World Dance Workshop. Through this multi-city tour, the troupe showcased the dynamic artistry of Nalmoe Bukchum and contributed to elevating Korea’s national prestige through traditional performing arts on the international stage.
