A Choreographer and Artistic Director of Indian Dance with 50 years of experience

 

1. Studied Music and Dance at Madras University before moving to Singapore at the age of 16

2. In addition to her work at Bhaskar's Arts Academy, she has collaborated with NUS on various projects for over 20 years

3. For her work and achievements in the arts, Bhaskar was conferred the Cultural Medallion and was the recipient of the Kala Ranta and Natya Kala Rani awards from various Indian organizations

4. A resident choreographer at the Centre for the Arts, National University of Singapore, where she has taught dance for 20 years

5. Artistic director of the Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society and chief choreographer of Bhaskar’s Arts Academy

6. Set local poems in all four official languages of Singapore to dance and her recent work is People Get Connected(2006),deals with the theme of human communication
